Class Policy

Beadworks is very fortunate to have a group of talented and dedicated instructors who enjoy teaching the classes that we bring you. Our staff instructors are joined by almost a dozen people who love beading and feel fulfilled by passing their designs and methods on to you. These people are not employees of Beadworks; they agree to teach and block out class time from their busy schedules of other jobs, family and friends.

When you reserve a class, the instructor is anticipating your attendance. That is why we have reservations for the class. A reservation is confirmed by your payment. Cancellations are permitted 48 hours before the class for a refund of your money or a transfer to another class. When you cancel and give us less than 48 hours notice, the instructors are put in a disadvantageous position. They agreed to do a class with a certain minimum number of attendees. Your cancellation may commit the instructor to a class with less number of people than anticipated. The other side of the situation is that if the class is fully reserved and then you cancel, we may have needlessly turned another customer away, cannot fill your place because it is too close to the class time, and the instructor is not maximizing his/her time.

Please work with us on the following policy. We need your help to continue to bring you high quality instructors with creative and innovative designs.

  1. Reserve your class as soon as you can fully commit to attendance. Full payment is required at the time of registration for each of our classes.
  2. Do so no later than three days before the class so that we can notify the instructor and he/she can plan for the class.
  3. If you must cancel, do so before 48 hours of the class. We will refund your money or transfer you to a different class.
  4. If you must cancel less than 48 hours of the class, please be assured that our policy of no refunds or transfers applies to everyone equally. We treat you just the same as we treat any valued customer.
  5. If your schedule is really chaotic, hold off making a reservation for the class. Call us last minute and, if we have a spot, we will put you in the class. Remember, call first because the class may be full or it may have been cancelled. If we do not have a minimum number of people for the class to be held,  the class will be cancelled 48 hours before the class time. This gives the instructor the opportunity to regroup and do something else with their day.
  6. Classes are for beginners unless prerequisite skills are noted. See the description in the Class Catalog for the pictures of the class projects and the most up to date information on the class.
  7. The cost of supplies is not included in class fee unless noted. We can loan you the basic tools - round nose, chain nose, cutter and awl. You will need your own other tools if required in class.
